Shawn Moore, LMSW, Executive Director and Founder
Shawn Moore is the Founder and Executive Director of Operation Frontline Families. She is also a 2017 alumna Elizabeth Dole Foundation Caregiver Fellow for the State of Missouri.
Prior to becoming a caregiver to her husband who served for 23 years in the U.S. Army, Shawn served as a police officer for nearly 15 years with Kansas City, Missouri. She then obtained a Master of Social Work degree from Park University and is a Licensed Master Social Worker in Missouri.
Shawn is passionate about advocating for military and veteran family members and caregivers and utilizes both her lived experience and education by presenting to national audiences on how communities can best support the family members of our veterans. She has served on panels with the Veterans Administration, presented with the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, the National Alliance of Caregiving, and has shared her story on PBS News Hours, TODAY Show, and MSNBC.
Natasha J. Swayze LMSW, Development DirectorNatasha received her Bachelor's of Social Work and a Master's of Social Work degree from Park University. Natasha is a member of Phi Alpha Rho Epsilon Honor Society and was active in participating in service activities as a member. Natasha has a passion for the military community. Natasha brings a unique perspective to Operation Frontline Families as she openly shares her story of what the caregiver role looks like after divorce, especially when children are involved. While completing a Summer internship at The Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Leavenworth Kansas and connecting to OFF, Natasha's desire to advocate for the caregivers of military families grew. Natasha is a mother to three children and enjoys walking, trying new restaurants, traveling, listening to music, and meditation.
Kelly Rai Phillips, LMSW, Program Coordinator
Kelly Rai received her Master's of Social Work from Park University and is licensed in the State of Missouri. She currently works for Compass Health as a Triage Clinician Lead. Kelly has worked in the mental health field for over 10 years. She has had several family members serve in the US Military. Kelly Rai is passionate about her work with OFF. She wants to make sure everyone is afforded the care and attention they not only need but deserve.
Caitlin Homan Intern
Caitlin is an MSW student completing her specialist practicum at O.F.F. She works as a forensic interviewer at the Child Protection Center in KCMO.
Caitlin earned her undergraduate degree in Art Therapy and worked at Children's Division for about two years.
Outside of work and school, Caitlin plays roller derby and belongs to a performance swing dance group. She and her cat Rosie enjoy crochet, graphic novels, and docuseries.
